Tammra Cascio

Tammra Cascio received her B.A. from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky and her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Tammra served as General Counsel for Gulf Guaranty Life Insurance Company for 16 years overseeing litigation, risk assessment and prevention, legislation and governmental relations. Prior to joining Gulf Guaranty, she practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance and products liability in the Mississippi Delta. Tammra formed her own company, Cascio Consulting, LLC in 2013 through which she has provided specialized governmental, legislative, economic development and political consulting in all areas of Mississippi.  Most recently, Tammra is a member and principal of Cascio Sanford Government Law Group PLLC where her main focus is assisting clients with legislative, regulatory, economic development and administrative law consulting as well as advocacy in all branches of government. 

 

In addition to extensive work in the legislative and regulatory arenas, Tammra has been active in the legal profession and the business community at both the state and local levels. Most recently, Tammra was honored to be inducted as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. She was named a Woman Lawyer Trailblazer by the Mississippi Bar and served as Chair of the Women in the Profession Committee for two years and as Editor of The Mississippi Lawyer Magazine for two years. Tammra has served as Chair of the Business Law Section of the Mississippi Bar and is honored to be a Fellow of the Young Lawyers. In 2010, she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Mississippi Bar. Tammra is a Past President of the Mississippi Corporate Counsel Association, has served as Fundraising Chair for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project and as Chair of the MVLP Board. 

 

Tammra has been selected by the Mississippi Secretary of State to serve in advisory groups to study and revise corporate and business-related statutes. In 2012, she was named one of the 50 Leading Businesswomen of Mississippi by the Mississippi Business Journal. In 2016, Tammra was elected to serve on the Advisory Board for the Risk Management and Insurance program at the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration. In recent years, Tammra has served as a speaker and panelist for various programs hosted by University of Mississippi, Mississippi College, Millsaps College, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Mississippi State University, the Mississippi Bar and the American Bar Association. 

 

In her community, Tammra serves as a volunteer for Stewpot Community Services, Madison Middle and Madison Central Bands and has served on various PTO Boards. In 2012, the staff and teachers of Ann Smith Elementary honored Tammra as Parent of the Year. She also is an alumnus of Leadership Jackson and has served in the Advisory Group for Mississippi Legal Services. Tammra has two sons.   She attends Pinelake Church and lives in Madison, Mississippi.

Sandy Sanford

Sandy Sanford received his B.Accy from the University of Mississippi, and his J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law where he graduated first in his class and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. The vast majority of Sandy’s over twenty year legal career was spent as Special Counsel for AT&T Mississippi, where he provided counsel on regulatory, legislative, and litigation matters, and as Special Counsel for Adams and Reese LLP, where he led the firm’s Mississippi government relations practice and provided regulatory and litigation services.  In June 2019, Sandy became a founding member of Cascio Sanford Government Law Group PLLC where he performs government relations services, and advises clients on regulatory, public procurement, economic development and business litigation matters.

 

Sandy has been active in the legal, business, and education communities during his career. He is an adjunct professor at Mississippi College School of Law, where he has taught the courses of Sales & Leasing and Remedies. He is a Past President of the Mississippi Corporate Counsel Association, an alumnus of the Mississippi Economic Counsel’s “Leadership Mississippi,” a former member of Governor Phil Bryant’s Energy Policy Committee, a former member of the board of managers for the Downtown Jackson YMCA, a past editor of the Defense Research Institute’s A Business Suit, and a current member of the Charles Clark Inn of Court. He has served as a member of several committees within the Mississippi Bar Association, including the Long-Range Planning Committee, Young Lawyers Division, Chairman of the Law School Relations Committee and Nominating Committee.

 

Sandy is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized as a “Leader in Law” by the Mississippi Business Journal. He has authored numerous articles in legal magazines, encyclopedias, journals and other publications, and has served as speaker and panelist for various groups, associations, and trade organizations on legislative and government law issues.  Sandy lives in Madison, Mississippi. He has two sons, and they attend Pinelake Church in Madison.
